If you want to get out of the city, Alta is only half an hour from downtown Salt Lake. Enjoy
gentle breezes, wildflowers, mountain wildlife, and the soothing murmur of
Little Cottonwood Creek. There are numerous hikes, climbs, and mountain bike
rides that start right outside your
door. Longer excursions lead into neighboring canyons. Snowbird is
only 1/2 mile down the road, with tram rides, an alpine slide, zip-rider, guided ATV and horseback excursions, bike and scooter rentals,
a fishing pond, and outdoor concerts and festivals.
