The best snow and most dependable conditions in the world are yours when you ski at Alta and Snowbird. The average temperature of 20-25 degrees and low humidity create the dry, fluffy powder that has made Utah famous. Snow depth at the base of the lifts usually reaches 3 feet by mid-November and over 10 feet in April. There are thousands of acres of groomed and ungroomed terrain for beginner, intermediate and expert skiers. Helicopter and cross-country skiing are available for those wishing a new snow experience.

Alta - The Alta Ski area has 8 modern chairlifts with vertical drops of 750 to 2500 feet. While being known for steep chutes and open bowl skiing, Alta also offers a wide variety of beginning and intermediate runs. Their Albion Lift, one mile long, was specifically designed for the beginner skier. Alta offers you several full-line ski shops, a photo shop, post office, three state liquor stores, several restaurants and yummy on-the-hill food services.

Snowbird - Snowbird's high speed aerial tramway and 9 chair lifts provide Snowbird with 3100 vertical feet of lift serviced terrain. The Chickadee chairlift for novice skiers is $16.00. Snowbird has a variety of shops and restaurants, a pharmacy and a medical clinic. There is also a modern health spa and a full service salon. Two week memberships are available in Snowbird's private club.
